Bleep is ending
Dear Bleepers,
After 3.5 years, we are sad to announce that the next BLEEP will be the last one.
We’ve put a lot of work and love into organising these nights, and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved. When we started in November 2022 we had zero experience and very low expectations, but you showed up and kept coming back, and we’re very grateful for that.
So a massive thank you to all of you who came down to give a chance to new artists, thank you to the regulars that helped us create this amazing community and thank you to everyone who donated, allowing us to cover the costs and keep the event free for everyone. And thanks to the Peer Hat, especially Nick and Matty.
Unfortunately, since that first BLEEP our lives have changed a lot, and we can’t give the event the attention it deserves anymore. The next BLEEP will be on the 14th of May, and it’ll be the last one.
We know how important it is for the electronic music community to have events like this though, so we’ve made sure to leave the room in good hands: our friends at Noodlr will be taking over the space starting July (more info soon). If you’re looking for other electronic music events, we’ve also put a few links down below.
So what’s next for the Manchester Electronic Collective? We still want to be involved in the community, and we would like to organise events again in the future. We just need a bit of a break before we can launch into new ventures.

Noodlr
Noodlr is a curated electronic music event in Manchester run by friends of the Manchester Electronic Collective. They will be taking over the Peer Hat basement starting July.

EMOM events
EMOM is a circuit of electronic music open mic events happening all around the country.
A couple options in / near Manchester are:
- - Space Noodle, the Manchester EMOM at Dulcimer in Chorlton
- - Todmorden EMOM at the Golden Lion in Todmorden, run by our friend and EMOM legend Dave "mho" Walker
